What goes around comes around…

Recycled and Renewed!

What We Believe

At Globally Fabulous, we support a sustainable future for all and actively participate in the circular fashion economy. With every purchase, each article of clothing, accessory, or collectible receives a second life and a new beginning. If every garment were given a new life, we could reduce waste and emissions by almost 75%.

Circular fashion’ can be defined as clothes, shoes or accessories that are designed, sourced, produced and provided with the intention to be used and circulated responsibly and effectively in society for as long as possible in their most valuable form, and hereafter returned safely to the biosphere when no longer of human use.”

— (Dr. Anna Brismar, 2017, www.circularfashion.com)

Circular fashion includes:

• Clothing constructed with high-quality fabrics.

• Garments that are beautiful, timeless, and classic to maximise their longevity.

• Clothing, accessories, and shoes produced with non-toxic, biodegradable natural or synthetic materials that can be recycled or turned into biological nutrients for the soil.

• Garments that can be repaired or repurposed, partially or entirely, to reuse and recycle.

• Clothing that will have new users throughout its life cycle through swapping, redesign, or resale.

Become a Circular Fashion Consumer

In the circular fashion economy, nothing goes to waste. It is a sustainable and recyclable system that is eco-friendly, and that incorporates techniques which allow for the reuse, renewal, or redesign of garments and accessories. Circular fashion prioritises slow over fast fashion. Informed global consumers shop for garments and accessories of high-quality material and craftsmanship or make investment purchases. If properly cared for, an investment purchase can bring an ROI (return on investment) anywhere from 20 percent to 60 percent of its original sales price, depending on the item and condition when resold. Instead of disposing of used items, consumers in a circular economy embrace a sustainable and practical approach to fashion. They look for luxury resale, secondhand, or vintage opportunities, a practice which extends a garment’s lifecycle.

The ‘Circular Fashion Consumer’

  • appreciates the true value of an item;

  • looks for well-made design, excellent materials, and top-notch craftsmanship to determine the durability of a garment;

  • prefers clothing that is non-toxic and made with organic fibres;

  • seeks designer resale and vintage pieces that are timeless, well-crafted, and built to last;

  • takes care of his/her wardrobe so items can be recycled or resold.
